Jordan Realty Corp. (JRC) was incorporated in 1971 and is one of the area's oldest real estate firms. Originally, it developed and managed the family's growing commercial real estate interests, such as Jordan Plaza --adjoining Southgate Mall-- and Holly Square in Elizabeth City. In 1981, another commercial strip was developed by the firm at the 4. 5 milepost in Kitty Hawk. The JRC residential sales division was established in June, 1990 with Louise Jordan as broker-in-charge.
Looking to the future, we became involved in the internet very early. In late 1994 the internet division of JRC was begun (that's pre-Netscape, no pictures!). It soon outgrew its position as a division and evolved into CoastalGuide. com (a. k. a. the ICW. NET) specializing in travel and relocation along the Coastal Carolinas. With well over 1/2 million visitors a year, besides being a great place to advertise our own properties, this extensive web network produces many qualified buyers for JRC and affiliated real estate firms.
